This new house was built with very high levels of insulation, rainwater harvesting and a high efficiency underfloor heating system to create a contemporary home with low running costs. The roof structure was hand made on site rather than using roof trusses and the building was half clad with western red cedar clap board. A rosemary tile roof was used with handmade bricks and a slidisng sash windows. Internally the property benefitted from a CCTV system, CAT 5 networking and low energy LED lighting.
