Garry Kemp is the Managing Director of Kemp Developments – in the office he is assisted by:
- Andrew Gillett – Contracts Manager. Andrew served his apprenticeship with Garry’s father before leaving to work as a sub contractor, he then spent 8 years working for Birmingham’s Primary Healthcare trust dealing with the maintenance of Hospitals and Health centres. Andrew rejoined Kemp Developments in 2003 as Joinery Foreman; in the following boom years Andrew assumed the role of a site manager before ultimately becoming our Contracts Manager in 2008.
- Mandi Norris – Accounts / Office admin – Mandi joined Kemp Developments in 2005; initially dealing with general office administration, Mandi now also looks after our company accounts.
- Elizabeth Kemp – Garry’s wife recently joined the company to assist with office administration.
In addition to our office staff and our full time employees; which include Joiners, Bricklayers and Groundworkers we have a close working relationship with a team of regular sub-contractors, some of whom have worked with Kemp Developments on a regular basis for many years, one particular subcontractor worked with us for over 40 years.
We are very fortunate to have a solid team with very little staff turnover. We try to promote an informal ‘family’ atmosphere and believe ourselves to be approachable and open to suggestions and improvements from our staff. Our staff are fully trained in their respective trades; our most recent apprentice Ben was awarded Apprentice of the Year (Joinery & Carpentry) for two successive years by Hull Construction College; he is now like our other tradesmen fully qualified at Advanced Crafts level and has become a valued member of our team.
