New stair balustrade made for Edwardian house after completion of loft conversion – the handrail in the foreground is original, the handrail on the stairs is a new but exact reproduction
This loft conversion in an Edwardian house in Hull was undertaken without entering the house – an external scaffold provided access for the building work through an opening in the gable which ultimately became a window. The connection to the rest of the house was only done when the loft room was complete. A bespoke staircase and handrail were made to exactly match the original one. Veluw windows and fitted wardrobes wre included in the finished room.
